How to use your otoscope
Position ear
canal for viewing
- 0-12 Months: Gently pull the ear straight back.
- 1 year and older: Gently pull the ear up and back to straighten the ear canal.
Gently insert probe tip into ear canal
If pain occurs, remove probe tip immediately and consult your physician
Press the button and look through the viewing lens
If the eardrum looks red or infected, consult your physician
